Skills for Life

The 24th Dorking Group covers the Holmwood & Capel area with children from the surrounding area also joining us.

Welcome to 24th Dorking (Holmwood & Capel)

We have a Beaver Colony for those aged between 6 and 8 years old, Cub Group for slightly older children aged between 8 and 10 and a half years old and finally a Scout Group for those aged between 10½ and 14 years old.

In addition we have a large selection of Leaders, helpers and supporters who make this group one of the most successful in the area.

We meet on Wednesday for Beavers, Thursdays for Cub Scouts and Friday for Scouts at the South Holmwood Scout Centre which is behind the old South Holmwood School on the A24 going towards Dorking.

Adult volunteers

The Scouts award-winning training scheme for volunteers means that adults get as much from Scouts as young people.
